Pinch Me Please

I am still in disbelief!! I submit numerous images to online contests with weekly themes. Occasionally, in this enormous sea of talented photographers and photography, one gets noticed. When it does with a "like," "comment," or better yet an "honorable mention"  I always feel like a little girl on Christmas.  But to actually make the top of a Top 10 weekly feature? Someone pinch me please!

Come Check it out along with the other wonderful photographers featured this week, weeks past and in future weeks! I encourage you to participate too.

Just Hanging Around..

Keeping a watchful eye over everything maybe?

Happy Friday......(insert gulp here) the 13th?,

~Lisa

I came across the theme of the Kids Were Here some time ago from a fabulous group of photographers who collaborate monthly to show where their kids have been.  Needless to say I loved the idea and was inspired by it. Every so often I remember to pick up the camera and capture the evidence of where my kids have been. It puts a great positive spin on the everyday "finds" and "left behinds."  I encourage you to check out their monthly blog post on this theme at KIDS WERE HERE. They are a truly talented group.

My Everyday: Batting Cages and Pre-season clinics

There I stood, praying that my reflexes were faster than the softball hitting off that bat!

 (18-55m @28mm, f4, 1/60sec, ISO 6400)

Lots of softball this past week.  Her team accomplished another 2nd place tournament finish! So far they are having a great indoor season.  I did not have my "big girl" camera at the tournament and my iphone skills are rudimentary.....(something I hope to improve on this year) but anywhoo....here they are.

The little guy is well underway with his preseason baseball clinics.  We enjoy watching him and his teammates grow in their skills each year. We are very thankful to all the coaches and dads who volunteer their time to teach these boys not only the skills but also the love for the game.

Happy Hitting,

After School Snack

After school snack.

 (18-55mm@24mm, f4, 1/60sec, ISO 800)

Do your kids leave little "left behinds" letting you know where they have been? Mine sure do! "Behinds".....I think I may have come up with a new term for that word in my own personal dictionary aside from its literal meaning. Ha!

Happy finding,

~Lisa
