Freezing with the "H" family.

We were having pretty decent fall temperatures around here until suddenly....DROP! Down they went and just before this family session. SNOW was even forecasted for this day. Let me tell you this family toughed it out. Just so you are aware, the wind was blowing, I was totally bundled and STILL felt cold. These guys were troopers. They ventured out for family photos without their coats, gloves and scarves. Yes, I felt a little guilty that I was all bundled. We tried to work quickly before we all froze and luckily we came away with a few keepers. Brrr, I can still feel that cold air when I think about it. LOL.

You guessed it, trying to stay warm.

Huddling together helped ease the cold.

This old building did make for a unique backdrop. I was not sure if they would like it when I originally mentioned it to them, but they were all for it. I am glad they were!

 Isn't he a handsome fella?

Guess who is sneaking into this picture?

LOL. She was too cute. Loved the haircut!

It amazes me sometimes that in one moment you can see truly see the sweet and cute little girl that she is now....

And in the next moment, it's almost as if you can catch a glimpse into the future of the true beauty that she will become.

Now we can't forget one very special family member.....

The Family Pet!!

Thank you to the "H" family. I hope you finally warmed up!

At home with the "M" family

At home with the "M" family. What do I mean by at home? Well, a couple of reasons.

First, "at home" because I feel pretty comfortable around them. Why? Well, you see we have known each other for a number of years, attended each others' weddings, have spent some family holidays together, have children very close in age etc. etc. Other people who have met us for the first time quite often say that her husband has an uncanny resemblance to my own husband. LOL. Yup, you guessed it, they are.....we are related. :0)

Second, "at home" because quite literally these photos were taken in their own back yard. They have an awesome back yard that provides for a number of different backdrops.  At first I wondered if we would have enough fall color or a sense of that "Fall" feeling in the photos. We had an early and quick transition with the fall leaves this year. However, it turned out that with the remaining leaves on the trees, the color of fallen leaves on the ground (thank goodness he had not raked up the yard...) and the occasional golden evening sun in the background provided for plenty of color.  I think the sense of "Fall" came through.

 She loves her big brother.

Oh my goodness.......

 Time goes by fast......

 See??? Told you, awesome backdrops.

 Happy Fall!

 Burlap and Beams = Beautiful.

A very cool and classic look.

Loved the old vanity in the small white barn.

Her dress, simple and elegant with a little twist. A pair of killer black boots that ROCKED!

Their first few moments as husband and wife.  Too sweet.

And that gorgeous shawl? Handmade!

Look, there are the boots! Love it.

 Congrats Phil and Lisa!
